This course is self paced, and is equivalent to a 10-day entry level program (80 hours).
It is designed for investigators to identify various Mobile device hardware such as phones, tablets, SIM cards, media/USB drives, and Drones, and understand general considerations required to preserve the integrity of the data, in line with industry best practice, in preparation for forensic analysis.
This is the starting point for field first responders, tasked with identifying and seizing mobile devices for data acquisition.
The course explains the eDiscovery scenario of:
- "bagging and tagging" devices in the field
- transportation considerations of seized equipment
- extraction of data (imaging)
- parsing the data set
- analysing the data
- producing a report
